Provincial Immigration

Provincial Immigration

Canadian provinces and territories have the authority to nominate individuals who intend to settle in that province through Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP). All provincial nominee programs are different and are based on the economic requirement of that province.

Candidates can apply directly to any province under a specific program. Once the nomination is successful, the applicant must then apply for permanent residence at the federal level. The provinces can also nominate suitable candidates from the express entry pool. This gives them an additional 600 CRS points.

Federal Skilled Worker Program

FSWP is a point-based program for candidates who have a post-secondary degree with at least one year of work experience in the selected occupation code.

Federal Skilled Trade Program

FSTP is a program for candidates who have at least two years of work experience in skilled trade under specific occupation codes and have either an LMIA approved job offer or a certificate of qualification.

Canadian Experience Class Program

CEC program is especially for candidates who have at least one year of eligible work experience in Canada.

Every candidate must meet the eligibility criteria of the program under which they apply. In the next step of express entry, points are assigned based on candidate profile information and skills such as education, experience and language etc. These points generate a score called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, which is used to rank candidates in the express entry pool. Immigration Canada issues invitations to apply (ITA) to those who make the cut-off during the selection draws. These draws are conducted throughout the year. They can be general or program specific.

Apart from express entry, there are other available programs, such as a Self-employed person program, a Start-up visa program, a Caregiver program, and some pilot programs.

Preparing an application varies in complexity. CanArch team has sound knowledge of these immigration programs and processes. To avoid any frustration, we will assist you through the complete application process.
